Toward the end of every year, it has become a Western tradition to initiate the proceedings of a “round up” or “best of” of the people, events, and products of the year and attempt to crown a number of individuals with awards for the most accomplished, best dressed, most influential, or most creative of that year. The world of politics and government is no different. Since Wall Street and the Corporate world essentially function as government as well, it is natural that anyone in banking, finance, or the business of exploitation and the military industrial complex be eligble for recognition as well.

However, while politicians, government officials, corporate overlords, and financiers are awash with awards and backslapping trophies, there was still no official award provided to them at the end of the year for their life’s accomplishments and those made over the past 12 months. We decided in 2015, it was time to change this.

Please note: We apologize for being so late in announcing our winner for 2016. Last year contained a number of events that nearly resulted in the complete destruction of the United States and our staff was focused on survival and neurosis for most of the year. We promise to be more prompt in the future.

A Little About The Award For Reverse Excellence

In our attempt to devise the perfect, comprehensive award, we asked ourselves what such an award would look like? We already have the Nobel Peace Prize, a perfect Orwellian award whose name says “peace” but is generally awarded to mass murderers, warmongers, and proponents of genocidal austerity. Unfortunately, we find the Nobel Prize is no longer able to provide us with the pride and confidence in the world’s leaders who are responsible for the killing of innocent people and the destruction of their livelihoods in the way that we desire. Unable to understand the concept of doublethink, the general public is confused by the use of the word “peace” in the title of the prize and thus they believe that the “peace” prize is actually a prize for peace. For that reason, they often see the recipients as weak and ineffectual despite their accomplishments.

In the Twilight Zone of 2017 America, it’s official that leftists and Democrats are welcoming with open arms their newest ally and flame bearer in the war on Russia, Donald Trump, and what they have convinced themselves Trump and Putin stand for. The new hero? Dick Cheney.

No, this is not a joke. The alleged arch enemy of the left, Darth Cheney himself, has joined the right wing cavalry of neo-cons and Republicans coming to the aid of leftists, and Democrats who are pushing the discredited narrative of “Russian hacking” and “tampering with American elections.”

Cheney, echoing John McCain, stated that Russia’s alleged hacking was an “act of war” and predicted that we would see more of “this kind of conduct and activity” going forward. Of course, in the senile and compulsive minds of McCain and Cheney, every act is an act of war.

Still, despite being a man with no heart or pulse (both literally and figuratively), Cheney traveled all the way to New Delhi to attend the Economic Times’ Global Business Summit 2017 where he gave a speech in which he addressed the Russian narrative. Cheney repeatedly cast the unproven and discredited accusations against Russia and Putin as a shot across the bow to America and evidence that Russia is slowly trying to destroy the United States. “There’s no question there was a very serious effort made by Mr. [Vladimir] Putin and his government, his organization, to interfere in major ways with our basic fundamental democratic processes,” he said.

“In some quarters, that would be considered an act of war. I think it’s a kind of conduct and activity we will see going forward. We know he’s attempted it previously in other states in the Baltics,” he added.

HN: We are still not sure whether Trump is going to put his radical promises into actions or not. New York Times believes that Trump is stepping back from his views gradually. What do you think about it?

I’m not sure how radical Trump’s views ever were. I think because he gave lip service to some ideas – ending free trade, backing away from the war on Syria, etc. – that many people saw some of those views as radical. But that’s America in 2016. We, as the American people, are so unaccustomed to seeing views that differ even slightly from the status quo and the current course of events that even glaringly obvious ideas like the two I just mentioned are considered “radical.” Trump is naturally going to step back from his stated positions because he won the election and this is the time when politicians who promised peace, jobs, rights, etc. start backing away from the promises and start “seeing the value of the other side” and become “practical.”

While I saw Hillary Clinton as, by far, the worst option, make no mistake Trump is a fascist. I wouldn’t bet my money on total war avoidance simply because he won. In fact, I think a confrontation with Iran is still very much on the table with a Trump administration. You can see that by Trump’s own rhetoric.

HN:  Some analysis suggests that trump is not able to finish his four years period of presidency because of his immature beliefs and hard line views. What do you think?

* Who chose Trump? Did the people's vote matter? Was the decision already made by the elite/establishment?

In my travels across the country, I have to say that I could tell that the majority of people were leaning in Trump’s direction. The real support for Hillary Clinton was small and typically isolated to very specific groups and areas. But, even within these subsets, the support was lower than for a normal democrat. That was my observation on the ground. 

But, as we know, American elections are largely just a selection process by the national oligarchs, i.e. the military industrial complex, secret societies, banks, corporations etc. Leading up to the election, we were given every indication that Clinton was the establishment’s choice. All the power players backed her. The Neo-Cons backed her. The banks backed her. The media was virtually united behind her. 

So we now have to wonder whether or not this election was planned from the very beginning or whether the oligarchs actually decided to change course at the last minute since Clinton was such an impossible sale. It appears that the ruling class has pulled a “bait and switch” technique on the electorate. They were ultimately going to choose between a fascist and a psychopathic, corrupt, warmonger whose own fascist tendencies were there for all to see. Given what I know in terms of American elections, I am hesitant to say that real democracy played into the election itself. That being said, it appears the elections did go in the direction that the people wanted. I’m not sure that qualifies as democracy though.

On November 9, Americans woke up to the announcement that they have narrowly avoided the apparent worst case scenario, i.e. a Hillary Clinton presidency. Most researchers and activists of good will were happy if not outright ecstatic that the wicked witch of the West was finally gone, hopefully for good. Others simply acknowledged that a change in power would take place in January, 2017 but argue that there will be no discernible difference between a Trump administration and the Obama administration just as the Bush-Obama years were those of a seamless transition.

But while we may take some temporary relief in knowing that we avoiding the absolute worst case scenario, it is time to ask, “what now?” We are faced with 2017 with Donald Trump as President. So what do we do? Join the Trump team and become a cult follower? Support him until he does something terrible or commits a series of terrible decisions? Start attacking him immediately?

Certainly, complacency should not be an option. Simply sitting back because the outcome was “not as bad as it could have been” is entirely useless and counterproductive.

First, it is imperative that activists and people of good will must recognize that a Trump victory is not necessarily a victory for the American people. A Hillary defeat, although positive, does not equal a win for America, at least not in those simplistic terms.

Now is a time for organization and action.

Activists, activist organizations, and all people of good will must immediately begin to prepare themselves for a new phase in a battle that they have been (or at least should have been) fighting all along. They must begin to put aside petty differences with one another and begin looking at areas of common concern. They must continue their individual battles but must form alliances with one another in order to fight in a united front under a common umbrella. Whether the cause is related to guns, the drug war, war, GMOS, or some other issue, these individuals and organizations must come to understand the concept of enlightened mutual self interest.

White Helmets in Syria Nothing but Terrorists: US Analyst

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An American columnist and political analyst said Syrian civil defense volunteers, known as the White Helmets, are nothing more than terrorists masquerading as humanitarians.
“They (the White Helmets) are nothing more than a terrorist support group. White Helmets was founded by James Le Mesurier, an admitted former British army officer and mercenary with the Olive Group, a private contracting organization that is now merged with Blackwater-Academi into Constellis Holdings. Although White Helmets half-heartedly attempts to hide its source of funding, the organization is linked to George Soros through a PR firm named Purpose Inc., a pro-war firm that argues for Western intervention against Assad. The co-founder of Purpose is Jeremy Heimans, who also helped found Avaaz, a “pro-democracy” group connected to Soros’ Open Society Foundation, SEIU, and MoveOn.org,” Brandon Turbeville told the Tasnim News Agency.

Tasnim: As you know, Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy since March 2011. In one of your latest articles you stressed, “With the recent events transpiring in Syria – the US bombing of Syrian government soldiers in Deir ez Zour and the subsequent sabre rattling of the United States and Russia – it is clear to anyone paying attention that the world is edging closer to the possibility of a major confrontation between two world nuclear powers. 2012 DOD Documents Show State Department Well Aware Of Weapons Shipments To Terrorists In Syria, Hillary Lied In Testimony

While so many rumors, accusations, and scandals surround the 2013 incident in Benghazi where a number of U.S. ambassadorial staff as well as Ambassador Chris Stevens were murdered by Islamic extremists, the question almost always arises “How much was known about Stevens’ mission of supporting terrorists in Syria and who knew it?”

While discussion of how Stevens was killed, how he was killed, or if anyone knew what was going to happen to Stevens is outside of the scope of this article, the question of whether or not it was known that Stevens was essentially working as a conduit between terrorists in Libya and those in Syria, as well as a facilitator of arms to those terrorists, is well worth mentioning. Indeed, it is important to note that documents obtained by Judicial Watch from the Department of Defense and Department of State reveal that the Obama administration as well as the State Department, i.e. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, were all well aware of the fact that weapons were being shipped to terrorists in Syria via Benghazi, Libya.

One such document which was obtained from the Department of Defense, more specifically the Defense Intelligence Agency was dated October, 2012 and stated clearly that not only were weapons being shipped to Syria but that the shipments themselves were being monitored.

The documents stated,

Weapons from the former Libya military stockpiles were shipped from the port of Benghazi, Libya to the Port of Banias and the Port of Borj Islam, Syria. The weapons shipped during late-August 2012 were Sniper rifles, RPG’s, and 125 mm and 155mm howitzers missiles. 

During the immediate aftermath of, and following the uncertainty caused by, the downfall of the ((Qaddafi)) regime in October 2011 and up until early September of 2012, weapons from the former Libya military stockpiles located in Benghazi, Libya were shipped from the port of Benghazi, Libya to the ports of Banias and the Port of Borj Islam, Syria. The Syrian ports were chosen due to the small amount of cargo traffic transiting these two ports. The ships used to transport the weapons were medium-sized and able to hold 10 or less shipping containers of cargo.

If any corporate donation can accurately predict the direction in which a Hillary Clinton presidency would take the American economy, it would be the sizeable donations made by Wal-Mart executives.

As early as 2013, Alice Walton, heiress to the Wal-Mart fortune, donated the maximum allowed amount ($25,000) to the Ready For Hillary PAC. [1]

The Clinton Foundation has also received a sizeable amount of direct donations from Wal-Mart. Indeed, the Wal-Mart Foundation has even donated anywhere from $1 to $5 million to the Clinton Foundation in 2013 alone. The Wal-Mart Foundation has also funded and hosted a number of “energy and climate change” awards for the Clinton Global Initiative. [2]

The assistance and promotion has been reciprocal, of course, with the Clinton Global Initiative posting a rave review of the Wal-Mart corporation, naming it a company that makes great “efforts to empower girls and women.” It was unclear as to whether it was the slave labor wages, the humiliating work environment, or the abusive labor policies of Wal-mart that were the “empowerment of girls and women.” Such questions generally do go unanswered.[3]

The Clinton’s have also assisted Wal-Mart in the past regarding its effort to appear as more environmentally-friendly. For this reason, Bill Clinton met with past Wal-Mart CEO Lee Scott in order to help boost the company’s relationship with environmentalists.[4]

Yet the Clinton connection to Wal-Mart goes much further back than 2013. As Kevin Young and Diana C. Sierra Becerra of Solidarity wrote in their article “Something That Might Be Called A Neo-Con: Hillary Clinton And Corporate Feminism,”

In the beginning of their article “Hillary’s Prayer: Hillary Clinton’s Religion and Politics,” Kathryn Joyce and Jeff Sharlet ask the pertinent question “For 15 years, Hillary Clinton has been part of a secretive religious group that seeks to bring Jesus back to Capitol Hill. Is she triangulating—or living her faith?”[1]

The answer is simple: Hillary Clinton is triangulating.

However, there is much more to The Fellowship than mere political posturing or the courting of conservative Christians.

The Fellowship, also known as The Family or International Foundation, is a religious and political organization created in 1935 by Abraham Vereide. The organization claims its mission is to provide a “fellowship forum” for “decision makers” to get together and take part in prayer meetings, Bible studies, worship, and otherwise fellowship with one another.[2]

However, the organization – made up of mostly of politicians, corporate executives and CEOs, directors of “humanitarian aid” organizations, religious leaders, both foreign and domestic– is incredibly secret.[3] In fact, the Family members adhere to a code of silence regarding the organization towards outsiders.[4]

The stated purpose of the Fellowship is to provide a fellowship forum for decision makers to share in Bible studies, prayer meetings, worship experiences, and to experience spiritual affirmation and support. Yet there is ample evidence that the organization is not focused on Christian spirituality but in influencing foreign, domestic, and economic policy as well as facilitating cooperation and coordination between the movers and shakers of the political world along with the movers and shakers of the religious industry.[5]

While oligarchs like Hillary Clinton continue to prattle on about disproven theories such as that of man-made CO2 – based Climate Change, the planet continues to be raped and pillaged by international corporations, deforestation, pollution, and general overuse without a peep from the likes of Clinton or the alarmist Al Gore. Indeed, much like Al Gore, Hillary Clinton was recently seen boarding a private jet – quite the carbon emitter and fuel drinker – hours after launching the non-statement of her plans for a “greener” climate if she wins the Presidency.[1]

Hillary Clinton’s plans to fight “climate change” as President are, like most of her 2016 positions, almost indecipherable from her website or her current statements on the campaign trail. For her actual opinions and plans, we can only look to the periphery and the past.

At this point, it is important to note some very basic problems with the theory of “anthropogenic Man-Made Global Warming. Unfortunately, given the detailed nature of “climate science,” it is impossible to provide a detailed summation of the thoroughly debunked theory of Anthropogenic Man-Made Global Warming, at least as it relates to the non-existent and entirely invented theory of CO2 as a poisonous and planet killing gas. [2] [3] Suffice it to say that the earth was much hotter in the past, thus indicating that we are well within the norm of climate ups and downs.[4] [5] [6] In addition, it is important to mention the fact that global warming has not taken place in the last eighteen years despite the rigging of science equipment and faulty computer models to prove the opposite, thus calling into question whether the planet is actually still warming at all.[7] [8]

Still, that does not stop the Clinton’s of the world from continuing to promote human population, food, air conditioning, heat, travel, and industry as the greatest threats to world civilization. In fact, the Clinton AMMGW (Anthropogenic Man-Made Global Warming) theory is nothing more than a veil over a plan to deindustrialize the West, reduce the world population, and bring the world into an open state of neo-feudalism. Such a policy was devised by the Club of Rome decades ago.[9]

Like many American Presidents, scandals have followed the Clinton’s from their days in the Governor’s mansion to their days in the White House and even continuing after having left office. While many American presidents have also been dogged by scandals that involve sexual crimes, pedophilia, and murder, none have had carried as many rumors (some well-founded, others not so much) of murders connected to them and their operations as have the Clintons.

Indeed, the “Clinton Body Count” list is so numerous that even a brief attempt to detail and explain the number of murders connected to the Clintons – either by clear and convincing evidence or by rumor – would be impossible. In fact, such a discussion would comprise the topic of a book in and of itself.

However, below is a list of names compiled by the Ether Zone website, entitled “The Clinton Body Count,” republished by permission. The reader may judge for himself whether or not every single person mentioned in this list is connected to the Clintons.

Most even semi-informed Americans may recognize the day that NAFTA was signed into law as the day that the U.S. economy was diagnosed with rapid onset terminal cancer. A massive plan to bust unions, lower wages, remove trade protections, and generally lower living standards across the board, NAFTA was following in the footsteps of GATT and the WTO before it. While NAFTA was promoted by American oligarchs, parasitical politicians, business interests, banks, and the mainstream media, it was clear to anyone with a basic understanding of economics and trade or even a modicum of common sense that it was nothing more than a giant vacuum whose suction tube was aimed at the American economy.

In order to promote the agreement (negotiated by George H.W. Bush and signed into law by Clinton), a stupendous amount of lies and deceit were presented to the American public.

While Hillary Clinton was merely the first lady and, admittedly, not officially in charge of making public policy, she nevertheless supported NAFTA and assisted in its promotion from the position she held. In 1996, she visited a gathering of unionized garment workers and stated “I think everybody is in favor of free and fair trade. I think NAFTA is proving its worth.”[1]

During both her presidential campaigns, Clinton has attempted to scale back her past support of an agreement that outsourced American jobs so fast it created a metaphorical traffic jam of companies exiting the country. However, as recently as 2003, Clinton voiced clear support of the agreement, a striking act of defiance of the existence of reality. In her book, Living History, she wrote,

While Hillary has come out publicly and endorsed the Iran nuclear deal clenched by Barack Obama, Republicans were probably too busy calling for nuclear world war three to have noticed. Democrats, for their part, were too busy kneeling at the feet of Obama to pay too much attention to Clinton’s statement. However, for a few observers who were of the mistaken belief that Clinton’s past rhetoric is to be believed more than her behavior and track record, her statements may have come as a bit of a shock.

This is because Hillary’s past statements were much more pro-war and hawkish than her tepid endorsement of the Obama deal, itself nothing more than theatre to set the Iranians up for an eventual US invasion once NATO is done with Syria.

Michael Crowley of TIME writes,

Clinton brought a hard-line background to the topic of Iran. In April 2008 she warned that the U.S. could “totally obliterate” Iran in retaliation for a nuclear attack on Israel—prompting Obama to chastise her for using “language that’s reflective of George Bush.”[1] 

In Obama administration debates about Tehran’s nuclear program, Clinton opposed talk of ‘containment,’ a policy option that plans for a world in which Iran possesses a nuclear weapon. Preparing for containment implies a decision not to use military force to prevent an Iranian bomb in the event that diplomacy fails.[2]

Author's Note: The quotes for this article were provided by virtue of a Wikileaks release of the trove of emails belonging to Hillary Clinton. While Wikileaks merely provided the "email" text, the quotes are actually from an article written by James P. Rubin for Foreign Policy entitled "The Real Reason To Intervene In Syria." Thus, the email is not an email at all, but a published article most likely in Clinton's inbox by virtue of someone having mailed it to her or having signed up for Foreign Policy's newsletter. While the quotes in this article are not Clinton's words nor are they an email communication, the article will remain posted due to the fact that the quotes are indeed real and thus, an important statement coming from one of the premier organizations involved in the creation and implementation of U.S. foreign policy planning. Still, Clinton's tenure as Secretary of State undoubtedly represented an implementation of the very strategy described in Rubin's article. The Hillary Clinton emails have recently been released by virtue of Clinton’s use of a private email server, Wikileaks, and the Freedom of Information Act and they stand as potentially one of the most damning sets of emails ever exposed to the light of day. With 30,322 emails having been written or received by Clinton and the fact that Clinton herself has been so heavily involved in untold amounts of treachery during her tenure as Secretary of State alone, the emails are a veritable treasure trove of both incriminating information for Clinton and vindicating information for those who have been critical of her in the past.

One email alone regarding the Syrian crisis demonstrates the veracity of what many who have been labeled “conspiracy theorists” have claimed for years – namely, that the United States has organized, directed, and supported the destabilization of Syria for its own geopolitical goals as well as those of Israel.[1] It also confirms the methodology and geopolitical goals behind the destabilization as well as cynical and brazen attempts by the Clinton State Department and Obama White House to go so far as to put Assad’s family in danger in order to intimidate him into abandoning his post.

The email reveals how the United States was determined to destroy Syria both for its own geopolitical purposes but also in order to cripple Iran and Hezbollah, both for the United States and Israel’s benefit, with the essential encirclement and weakening of the Iranian position being one of the goals. The author is clearly in favor of a direct U.S. military assault on Syria and all of these objectives, according to the emails, were worth risking a military confrontation with Russia.
