Hillary Clinton's Rabid Anti-Gun Obsession

Hillary Clinton has long been a rabid anti-gun fanatic. Stemming back from her years in her husband’s abysmal administration where she helped promote the passage of the infamous freedom-crushing Brady Bill to her 2016 presidential campaign, Clinton has made the elimination of self-defense, gun rights, buttress against unwarranted government encroachment, and the Second Amendment a hallmark of her stance.

For instance, as NY Senator in 2004, Clinton Voted NO on S.1805,[1] the “Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act,” a bill that would have prohibited lawsuits against gun manufacturers for gun violence.[2]

In 2005, Clinton voted NO[3] on the “Protection of Lawful Commerce Act,” a similar bill that was eventually passed into law.[4]

In 2006, Clinton voted against the Vitter Amendment, an amendment to the Disaster Recovery Personal Protection Act of 2006, which sought to “prohibit the confiscation of a firearm during an emergency or major disaster if the possession of such firearm is not prohibited under Federal or State law.” The amendment passed into law despite Clinton’s best efforts.[5]

But while she was not faced with the gun issue for much of her tenure as NY Senator, her public statements are very clear.

Despite Shooting Attacks On U.S. Soldiers, Government Says No Guns For You

October 19, 2015

In the wake of a number of mass shootings aimed at military personnel, most recently in July where five U.S. service members were killed in Chattanooga, Tennessee, many lawmakers have called for more open rules as to who can carry weapons on a military base. In other words, many lawmakers have realized the danger of keeping U.S. service personnel unarmed particularly when they have obviously become targets on a number of different occasions.

For this reason, negotiators have been working on the fiscal 2016 Defense Authorization bill to include language that will allow commanders of military installations more authority and choice over who is able to carry “an appropriate firearm” or “some personal weapons.”

Lawmakers in support of the new proposed rules have written in a report that “(we) remain concerned about the response times to active shooter attacks on U.S. military installations and facilities. Commanders should take steps to arm additional personnel…if they believe that arming those personnel will contribute to that goal.”

But while advocates of the proposed rules and pro-gun activists and organizations like the National Rifle Association are applauding the attempt, it would be wise not to get excited just yet.

The provisions require the Secretary of Defense to establish the relevant policy by the end of the year. This poses two problems.

New Obama Initiative To Ban Guns For Some Social Security Recipients, Veterans, and Disabled

July 19, 2015

Whenever one thinks the Obama administration’s war on the Second Amendment couldn’t get any more insane, Barack Obama prances onto the stage to prove everyone wrong yet again.

This time, it is not merely a carefully planned and orchestrated jig on the graves of mass shooting victims or pathetic whining about “gun crime” and the amount of time he must give regarding the issue. It is a push to ban a large number of Social Security benefits recipients from owning guns.

That’s correct. When the Obama administration can’t get its way by attacking gun owners head on, it merely turns to extorting the elderly and disabled whom it holds hostage via their need to receive Social Security benefits – benefits I might add, that are owed to them.

Thus, the Obama administration is pushing to prohibit Social Security benefit recipients from owning firearms if they “lack the mental capacity to manage their own affairs,” a move which the Los Angeles Times reports would affect millions of people whose disability payments – for one reason or another – are handled by other people.

The idea is to bring the Social Security Administration under the jurisdiction of laws that regulate who gets reported to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), a database that was initially supposed to pertain to illegal immigrants, drug addicts, and felons.

Obama Calls For Gun Control In Wake Of Charleston Church Shooting

As anyone with two brain cells moving in the same direction would have been able to predict, President Barack Obama and his mouthpiece media outlets have already begun calling for more gun control in the wake of the Charleston, SC church shooting.

Before the corpses of the victims were fully cold, the local Charleston oligarchs, mainstream media, and now the President immediately took to blaming the atrocity on the availability of guns.

Even before the international disgrace known as Barack Obama was able to practice the speech provided for him by well-paid writers, corrupt Charleston Mayor Joe Riley launched into a tirade against gun ownership.

As The Washington Post quotes Riley, he said,
“I personally believe there are far too many guns out there, and access to guns, it’s far too easy. Our society has not been able to deal with that yet.”

In the coming days, Riley said he would “continue to push on” and called the killings this week “another example of why” more gun-control measures should be enacted.
Riley went on to criticize the “easy ability for people to gain possession of them no doubt contributes to violent acts.”
Today, Obama followed suit with his typical and well-worn oratory by stating,
“We don’t have all the facts, but we do know that once again, innocent people were killed in part because someone who wanted to inflict harm had no trouble getting their hand on a gun.”

BATFE Ruling Creates New Hurdle To Private Gun Manufacture

It only took two days before the anti-gun American bureaucracy began chipping away at the Second Amendment in areas where Congress and the President, despite being backed by billion dollar NGOs and Foundations, have so far been unsuccessful.

On January 2, 2015, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE) issued its ruling regarding “whether Federal Firearms Licensees (FFL), or unlicensed machine shops, may engage in the business of completing, or assisting in the completion of, the manufacture of firearm frames or receivers for unlicensed individuals without being licensed as a manufacturer of firearms.”

The ruling that was made in order to address the issue that ATF Ruling 2015-1 has called into question - whether or not the ability of American citizens to produce their own weapons, pass them down, and modify those weapons in specific capacities will remain a viable option.

Thankfully, the BATFE is not attempting to entirely eliminate the ability of individuals to manufacture their own weapons, but the agency is attempting to limit that ability.

So far, the policy of the BATFE’s Firearms Technology Branch (now called the Firearms Technology Industry Services Branch) as it was enumerated in 2010 remains the same. The BATFE states that “For your information, per the provisions of the GCA, an unlicensed individual may make a ‘firearm’ as defined in the GCA for his own personal use, but not for sale or distribution.” The FTB continued by stating “Also, based on the GCA, manufacturers’ marks of identification are not required on firearms that are produced by individuals for personal use.

Prince Law Offices analyzed the policy statement and concluded that “it is completely lawful, as acknowledged by ATF, for one to manufacture his/her/its own firearm, provided there is no intent to sell or distribute it.” However, the lawyers’ blog also asked another pertinent question, “but what about when that individual is incapable of turning a block of metal or 80% lower into a functioning firearm?
