Protests Across America: Will Obama Step Down?

After the eruption of large-scale protests which subsequently devolved into chaotic riots in the streets of Ferguson, Missouri in response to the killing of Michael Brown by Ferguson police, protests began to spread outside of Ferguson to large cities all across the country. Fresh on the heels of the Michael Brown protests, reports of the Eric Garner murder by the NYPD and the non-indictment of the murderer, large-scale protests erupted in New York City and, like the Brown-inspired protests, all across the country as well.

In short, anger, protests, riots and other forms of violence have engulfed cities all across the United States. Years of authoritarianism, a stagnant economy, and police brutality among many other issues are coming to a head, regardless of what one thinks about the methods or even the merits of some of the protesters/rioters.

Flashback to 2011, shortly after death squad operations funded by NATO, the GCC and Israel began in earnest inside Syria. According to Western media, these operatives who were killing Syrians indiscriminately in the streets, implementing Sharia law, and beheading civilians were peaceful protesters. Such widespread chaos in the streets of Syrian cities was used as ajustification by Western leaders such as Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, and British Prime Minister David Cameron to call for Assad to step down.

According to these leaders, “peaceful protests” across Syria were enough to warrant calls for Assad to step down as President of the country. Such civil unrest was reason enough to demand that Assad “face the reality of the complete rejection of his regime by the Syrian people.”

Radio Host Explodes In EPIC Rant Over Eric Garner Case

On Thursday, December 4, UCY radio host personality “Jules” began the show as she always does – by cracking a few jokes as a way of introduction and giving a rundown of some of the day's news items with commentary.

But when she arrived at the topic of the Eric Garner killing, particularly the fact that the cop who murdered Garner will not be indicted and that discredited Attorney General Eric Holder will be leading an “independent” investigation into the case, Jules became heated.

In fact, to describe her broadcast for the next 8 minutes or so as “heated” would be a bit of an understatement. The host of Before the First Cup launched into a profanity-laced tirade against Holder, racism, and police brutality, the likes of which is seldom heard on the radio.

Her rant started off simple enough. She began by discussing Eric Holder’s history of corruption and how she believes he cannot be trusted to head up a truly fair investigation into the murder of Eric Garner.

The rant begins at the 59:55 minute mark.

Deputy Tases Handcuffed Man Repeatedly: "You Wanna Do This The Hard Way???"

In yet another example of brazen police brutality, a Richland County Sherriff’s Deputy has been videotaped repeatedly tasing a handcuffed man. The video also shows the deputy verbally rubbing it in to his victim that he was being tased for not obeying the commands that were barked at him.

The scene is disturbing not only because of the fact that the Deputy uses such physical and dangerous force on an unarmed and clearly subdued man but also because of the officer’s crazed demeanor after the tasing took place.

The video, which lasts a little over seven minutes long, shows the entire tasing incident, beginning with the officer, who has not surprisingly remained unidentified, barking orders at Charles James Lang Jr., the victim.

Lang is clearly handcuffed and is leaning against the hood of the Deputy’s car. The Deputy can be seen and heard barking orders for Lang to “put his face on the hood of [the] car.” The Deputy can be heard to say “If you don’t put your face on the hood of my car, you are getting tased. Last warning.”

Lang does not comply with the demands and the Deputy shoots Lang with the taser. Lang immediately falls to the ground.

While Lang is lying face down on the ground, still in handcuffs and visibly stunned from the tasering, the Deputy screams, “Now, You wanna do this the hard way???”

The Deputy then leans down in front of Lang’s face and screams “You can stay right there!!!”
