Social Media, Universal Basic Income, and Cashless Society: How China’s Social Credit System Is Coming To America

A minority of informed Americans may be aware of China’s horrifying “Social Credit System” that was recently unveiled as a method of eradicating any dissent in the totalitarian state. Essentially freezing out anyone who does not conform to the state’s version of the ideal citizen, the SCS is perhaps the most frightening control system being rolled out today. That is, until you consider what is coming next.

Unbeknownst to most people, there appears to be a real attempt to create a system in which all citizens are rationed their “wages” digitally each month in place of a paycheck or ability to gain or lose money. This system would see any form of dissent resulting in the cut off of those credits and the ability to work, eat, or even exist in society. It would not only be the end of dissent but of any semblance of real individuality.

Here’s how the Social Credit System operates in China.

First, however, for those who are unaware of the Social Credit System as it operates in China, we should briefly describe just what has taken place there. The Social Credit System in China isn’t merely a punishment for criticizing the state as is the case in most totalitarian regimes, the SCS can bring the hammer down for even the slightest infraction such as smoking in a non-smoking zone.

Teen Mental Health Seriously Deteriorated In 5 Years – The Surprising Culprit

Between the years of 2010 and 2015, large national surveys demonstrated that teen mental health vastly deteriorated.

The number of U.S. teens who felt useless and joyless grew by 33% and teen suicide attempts grew by 23%. The number of 13-18 year olds who actually committed suicide jumped to 31%.

In a paper published in Clinical Psychological Science, researchers found that increases in suicide, suicide attempts and depression were found in teens from every background including races, ethnicities and social class.

These increases were also found in every region across the country.

Previously, it was thought that millennials were the most heavy sufferers of mental health issues of all the generations. But it appears that young people born after 1995 are at much more risk than even millennials.

This begs the question as to what would cause such sudden increase in depression and suicide.

Jean Twenge, professor of psychology at San Diego State University, links that increase back to the appearance of the Smart Phone.

Social media has become a big part of most people’s everyday lives. Texting and emails have taken the place of phone calls or, heaven forbid, a written letter. Brandon and I take a look at the sordid, short history, and more importantly the birth and dissemination of digital, personal information.

What is the connection between uprisings and social media? What role does propaganda play in our lives today and how does social media and propaganda interconnect? These are important questions, especially in light of what we have learned since William Binney and Edward Snowden first introduced us to the criminal activity of the NSA.

Equally as important is the role the CIA plays in our everyday lives. Where did Twitter come from and how did it rocket into our lives and become a point of mass distribution of information? Remember, DARPA developed the Internet, not Al Gore. Brandon reminds us that DARPA does not conduct research for the benefit of humanity, DARPA conducts research in order to kill people more efficiently. He also reminds us that the Internet was launched with tons of pornography already available. Why? How? For what purpose?
