Codex Alimentarius Permits a Wide Range of Dangerous Chemicals in Food

In my past few articles, I have discussed the documented adverse health effects related to pesticide use,[1] the difference between general pesticides and POPs[2] (Persistent Organic Pollutants), and the requirements that must be met [3]in order for the designation of POP to be applied to a specific pesticide.

With all of this in mind, one may be surprised that Codex Alimentarius actually allows for the presence of such dangerous chemicals in food. Before explaining this position, however, it is important to note some of the background regarding POPs, the Stockholm Convention, and, finally, the Codex Alimentarius POP guidelines themselves.

In 2001, The Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants was adopted with the stated goals of eliminating or reducing the production and use of POPs. The Stockholm Convention entered into force in 2004 and is overseen by the United Nations Environment Program. The Conference of the Parties of the Stockholm Convention (COP) manages the POPs Convention with each of the members of the Stockholm Convention being the members of the COP. The function of the members of the Convention is to implement the obligations of the treaty at the national level.

Although 50 countries have ratified the treaty, the U.S. is not one of them. However, the U.S. has largely begun to implement the treaty on the national level. This has been accomplished through a series of national laws and other international agreements.

Since 1972, the United States and Canada have signed several agreements involving the removal of POPs from the Great Lakes such as the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement and the Great Lakes Binational Toxics Strategy. The U.S. is also party to the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade with 71 other countries and the European Union.

On a national level, the U.S. has passed four major laws that involve the ban or restriction of POPs. The Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the Clean Air Act (CAA), and the Clean Water Act (CWA).

The Global Threat of Persistent Organic Pollutants

Brandon Turbeville

June 24, 2013

In my past two articles I have discussed the connection between pesticides, both general and POPs (Persistent Organic Pollutants), to a myriad of adverse health effects such as cancer and neurological disorders, particularly Parkinson’s Disease. For these reasons alone, it is important to look at the standards currently set for such chemicals by the international standard-setting organization known as Codex Alimentarius.

As I mentioned in the first article in this series, I will distinguish between two different types of pesticides for the sole purpose of the topic of discussing Codex Alimentarius guidelines – general pesticides and POPs. General pesticides should be recognized as, quite simply, those pesticides not considered a Persistent Organic Pollutant by the Stockholm Convention. General pesticides are those which are most widely used since the Stockholm Convention actually banned the use of POPs altogether. Nevertheless, it is important to make the distinction for the purpose of clearly understanding Codex guidelines in this regard.

The term Persistent Organic Pollutant applies to specific types of pesticides and chemicals. These substances have been used mostly in pest control, “disease control,” agriculture, and other different industries. The EPA distinguishes between two different types of POPs in terms of their production – intentional and unintentional. Intentionally produced POPs are those which are produced for the purpose of being used in manufacturing, agriculture, pest/disease control, or other industrial uses. To put it quite simply, intentionally produced POPs are those that are produced intentionally.

Unintentionally produced POPs are those that are essentially byproducts of industrial processes or combustion (like the incineration of waste) etc.[1]

The chemical in question has to meet fairly stringent requirements in order to obtain the status of POP, however. Additionally, the label “organic” means the chemicals must be carbon-based (organic) substances.

Next Phase of Syrian Invasion Begins -- The Central Bank Connection

As the secular Syrian government continues to mop up the mobs of death squads made up of mercenaries, religious fanatics, and the criminally insane (as well as cannibals), the second phase of destabilization is quickly taking shape - that is, the establishment of “no-fly zones” and the arming of the death squads by the West with even heavier weapons than they have previously been given. The destruction of Syria is thus apparently scheduled to take exactly the same form as that of Libya.

It is important to remember that, in the case of the latter country, the Anglo-Americans also funded terrorist death squads to cause a civil war inside the country, engaged in a propaganda campaign against Ghaddaffi’s government, and established “no-fly zones” inside Libya.

The rest, as they say, is history. After the establishment of a “no-fly zone,” air strikes began against Libyan military, governmental, and civilian targets. Death squads were simultaneously empowered further and assisted by the presence of Western intelligence, special forces, and military boots on the ground inside Libya.

Although Assad has proven more capable than Ghaddaffi of withstanding the initial onslaught set in motion by the Anglo-Americans than Ghaddaffi and has demonstrated better political connections with other powerful nations, the fate of Libya awaits Syria if something is not done to derail this war machine.

Yet, while many have become aware of the fundamentalist and fanatical nature of the death squads which have run rampant in Syria over the last two years -- and some are even aware of the nature of their funding -- a very common question that confronts these observers is, simply, “why?”

When one analyzes past acts of conquest and aggression as well as current and future imperialist moves, it becomes clear that there is rarely only one reason for the implementation of any aspect of an agenda on any level.

Foreign Death Squad Network in Syria Larger Than Stated by West

June 19, 2013

Although evidence supporting the claims that the overwhelming majority of the Syrian “rebels” are made up of foreign fighters is not surprising to anyone who has investigated the unfolding crisis in Syria at any length, it might indeed come as a shock to those whose only source of information are mainstream Western media organizations like CNN, FOX, MSNBC, and other similar corporate outlets.

Yet the extent to which foreign mercenaries and religious fanatics make up the majority of the “rebel” (more aptly named “death squad”) ranks might surprise even those who would otherwise be considered well-informed regarding the Syrian situation.

Western governments and media outlets have attempted to downplay both the role and the number of foreign fighters in Syria. This is, of course, understandable, considering the agenda of the NATO forces in regards to the country.

However, it should be noted that although mainstream corporate media outlets are now forced to admit that there is, at least, a contingent of foreign fighters making up the ranks of the death squads they choose to call “rebels,” these same media outlets attempted to silence, ignore, and even deny this fact for a significant amount of time. Now, unfortunately, the atrocities of the death squads have become so great that they can scarcely be kept secret any longer.

Nevertheless, while such outlets have been forced to admit the presence of foreign fighters, these same outlets attempt to keep the reported numbers artificially low. For instance, consider the article by Mike Brunker, Investigations Editor of NBC News, entitled “Study uses ‘martyr’ posts to analyze ‘foreign fighters’ aiding Syrian rebels.”

Brunker’s article deals with a “study” released by the security firm Flashpoint Partners and the Neo-Con think tank Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP) entitled, “Convoy of Martyrs in the Levant: A Joint Study Charting the Evolving Role of Sunni Foreign Fighters in the Armed Uprising Against the Assad Regime in Syria.

Scores of People Massacred in Hatla Village by Western Funded Death Squads

Only days after the brutal public execution of a 15-year-old boy by Syrian death squads, the association of killers known as “rebels” have committed yet another atrocity, this time in the village of Hatla in Deir Ezzor Governorate.

According to reports by The News broadcast on the Syrian Official TV Channel on June 13, 2013, Jabhat al-Nusra, one of many groups of the foreign-backed death squads that have terrorized Syria for the last two years, have now gunned down 30 villagers. The motivation behind the killings, as is typical of the death squads, is currently unclear.

However, it is known (according to The News) that the terrorists first attempted forced relocation by demanding that the residents leave the village. Those villagers that remained were killed and their houses were burned.

The News reports the incident by saying,
A terrible massacre has been committed against the people of Hatla village in Deir Ezzor by the terrorists who use religion as a cover adding a new black chapter to their criminal record.
A few hours after killing a 15 year old boy [Muhammed al-Qatta], Jabhat al-Nusra perpetrated a new massacre in Hatla village in Deir Ezzor Governorate. They compelled the inhabitants to leave and killed those who remained and burned their houses.

"Red Line" Lies Indicate Full Scale War Coming to Syria

On June 13, 2013 U.S. President Barack Obama announced his plan to authorize weapons shipments directly to al-Qaeda death squads currently operating in Syria.

The Washington Post reports,

It's a blood line
U.S. officials said the administration could provide the rebels with a range of weapons, including small arms, ammunition, assault rifles and a variety of anti-tank weaponry such as shoulder-fired remote-propelled grenades and other missiles. However, a final decision on the inventory has not been made, the officials said.
The Washington Post also quotes Ben Rhodes, Obama’s Deputy National Security Advisor, as saying, “This is going to be different in both scope and scale in terms of what we are providing.”

(Ben Rhodes may be familiar to some observers as the brain child behind a “story-telling” PSY-OP against the Assad government early which entailed taking over Syrian television stations and broadcasting demoralizing messages to discourage the Syrian people and encourage desertion among Assad’s ranks.)

Regardless, in addition to weapons shipments, the White House has asked U.S. military planners to present proposals for increasing American involvement inside Syria.

In what appears to be an almost verbatim repeat of the Libyan tragedy, albeit on a slower time scale, one of the proposals being considered consists of creating a “no-fly zone” inside Syria, “stretching up to 25 miles into Syria which would be enforced using aircraft flown from Jordanian bases and flying inside the kingdom, according to U.S. officials.”

Syrian Observatory on Human Rights

In yet one more in a long list of savage acts, Syrian “rebels” (more accurately labeled “death squads”) have publicly executed a 15-year-old boy in front of his parents and his siblings for allegedly “blaspheming” the prophet Mohammed.

Coffee vender Mohammed al-Qatta was captured and killed for stating that he would not extend credit to an unspecified individual “Even if Muhammad comes down,” a common phrase used by many Syrians. This statement was construed as blasphemy by the death squads who are portrayed as “freedom fighters” by the Western media and government agencies supporting them.

Upon making the statement, al-Qatta was abducted by the death squads and tortured before being publicly executed. UPI reports “When they brought him back, the teen's head was covered with his shirt and his body bore marks of whipping.”

The death squads then paraded the young man in front of a crowd that included his parents and siblings, announcing that “cursing the prophet” is a horrible act and others committing such crimes will be punished. The death squads then shot the boy once in the mouth and once in the neck.

The Huffington Post writes that the murderers are believed to be “members of a rebel group known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, formerly known as the al-Nusra Front. “

Top 3 Current Global Targets For Anglo-American Destabilization

June 11, 2013

In keeping with the obvious Anglo-American assault on Syria, destabilization efforts disguised as popular movements against national governments are once again popping up in all corners of the world.

Although the thinly disguised destabilization campaign known as the Arab Spring was largely confined to the Middle East, the latest push by Western-backed intelligence agencies, governments, militaries, and NGOs (Non Governmental Organizations) is now taking on global form. Venezuela, Zimbabwe, and Malaysia all seem to be caught in the crosshairs of the Anglo-American elite and the destabilization tactics of NGOs, Foundations, and popular uprisings that end (and sometimes begin) with violence. From the Middle East and South America to Africa and Asia, the Anglo-American empire is marching forward with a drastic enlargement of covertly conquered territory, putting the Western world on an inevitable and intentional collision course with both Russia and China.

One need only take a brief look at the unfolding events in Syria, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, and Malaysia in order to see the hands of Western militaries and intelligence working behind the scenes; even though some operate more out in the open than others. This article will briefly examine the situation of the latter three countries.

Venezuela

In addition to the aforementioned NATO-backed crisis in Syria, there exists the continuing effort to shake up and remold the regime in Venezuela.

Under the leadership of former President Hugo Chavez, Venezuela was a stalwart source of resistance to the plans of the Anglo-Americans for years, particularly since the George W. Bush administration and, like the imperialist policies the Venezuelan government was initially responding to, continued through the Obama administration.

Lawsuit Claims BP and Courts Colluded to Keep Monopoly on Oil Containment Tech

If claims being made amid the court proceedings surrounding a three-year old lawsuit filed against BP are to believed, then a stunning revelation has been made regarding the criminal neglect of British Petroleum and, even more so, collusion between BP and agents of the Federal courts.
Dees Illustration

The lawsuit (No. C-10-02505) and its subsequent appeals began as far back as the Deepwater Horizon oil spill of 2010 when Ron Johnson, owner of Ericam Environmental, LLC., filed a lawsuit with the United States District Court of the Northern District against British Petroleum of America. The suit, filed by Johnson Pro Se (with no attorney) accused BP of both Antitrust and Negligence.

While BP’s negligence in the Deepwater Horizon spill scarcely needs a court case in which to be proven, Johnson’s case focused largely on the aspect of antitrust in which he claims that BP “willfully and intentionally mislead and concealed facts to the American government, the President of the United States and the American public about the Deep Water Horizon oil spill, clean up and recovery.”

The lawsuit also claimed that BP “willfully and intentionally misquoted the actual amount of oil arising from defendant’s [BP] damaged oil rig. Due to the continuing negligence in the operation of the remediation of this oil that is spreading across the Gulf of Mexico waters and costal shorelines, causing total destruction of the wetlands, fish and wildlife with, complete hardship for the people of the states adjacent to the Gulf waters, along with future undetermined damage to the fish industry as well.”

Likewise, the lawsuit alleged that BP “willfully and mistrustfully contracted with the defendant’s [BP] sub-company to spray overhead and discharged underwater, an extremely high toxic disbursements [and extremely toxic dispersants - Ed.] fully knowing its harming potential, without any regards to the cause and long term effects it will have on fish, wildlife and human life.”

But, while BP’s deception in this regard is widely known, it is the subsequent claims, if true, that would add yet another level of treachery and deception on the part of BP to that which already exists in well-documented form.

Multiple Scientific Studies Link Pesticides to Cancer

In my article, “Pesticide Content In Food Less Regulated By Codex Than Vitamins and Minerals,” I briefly discussed the connection between commonly used pesticides and neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease. In addition, I mentioned the rather contradictory position held regarding the use of such pesticides, which banned their commercial use in some aspects, but continues to tacitly allow their use in food production.

However, neurological diseases are not the only negative side effects presented by Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) or general pesticides. Indeed, pesticides have been linked to cancer as well.

For instance, a study published in Blood, the journal of the American Society of Hematology, found that exposure to certain pesticides doubled an individual’s risk of developing Monoclonal Gammopathy of Undetermined Significance (MGUS) compared to individuals in the general population.[1] MGUS is a “pre-cancerous condition that can lead to multiple layer myeloma which is a painful cancer of the plasma cells the bone marrow.”[2] When one is diagnosed with MGUS, the patient requires life-long monitoring because MGUS is a condition that virtually every multiple layer myeloma patient experiences prior to developing the myeloma.[3]

In addition, in a study conducted as part of the Agricultural Health Study and published in the American Journal of Epidemiology, a potential link between pesticides and prostate cancer was reported. In particular, Methyl Bromide, a gas used to kill pests in the soil and fumigate grain bins and storage areas, was associated with increased risk of the disease by approximately two to four times as much as those who were not exposed to the pesticide. This is not surprising considering the fact that the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health acknowledges Methyl Bromide as a potential occupational carcinogen.[4]

A link between other pesticides such as chlorpyrifos, coumaphos, fonofos, phorate, permethrin, and butylate, was also established for men who had a family history of prostate cancer. One interesting note regarding this study is that the individuals examined by scientists were compared to the incidence rates of the two states in which the subjects lived. That is, they were compared to the average occurrence of prostate cancer for that area.[5] However, since more in-depth analysis had not been conducted at the time, we have no way of knowing just how many cases of prostate cancer in the average occurrences were caused by pesticide exposure themselves. Such information would be extremely valuable due to the fact that the aforementioned cancer rates could have been caused by pesticide residues in food or proximity to these particular chemicals.

Military-Industrial Complex Offers New Biotech Passwords for "Health"

Although talk of biotechnology-based tattoos and nanotech pills has been circulating in the tech world for quite some time, a recent report in the Daily Mail entitled, “The hi-tech tattoo that could replace ALL your passwords: Motorola reveals plans for ink and even pills to identify us,” serves as an official introduction of the technology to a world of trendy consumers who will no doubt gobble up the devices as if they were a hot meal.

Covering the discussions taking place at the D11 conference in California in late May, Victoria Woollaston reports that Motorola announced their intention to release and market the digital tattoos, known as BioStamps, for the purpose of creating an alternative to traditional password logins.

The BioStamp tattoos were actually developed by a Massachusetts-based engineering company known as MC10, for the alleged purpose of helping “medical teams measure the health of their patients either remotely, or without the need for large expensive machinery.”

It should be noted, however, that MC10 is also heavily involved in the defense industry, as virtually all of the firms developing such potentially Orwellian technology almost always are. It is thus interesting indeed to see a company involved in the Defense industry, which is largely concerned with reducing the lifespan of human beings, developing technology under the premise of humanitarian concerns like “monitoring the health of their patients.” That is, unless there is some other ulterior motive for the development of such technology.

Nevertheless, the BioStamp tattoos are impressive pieces of technology. As Woolaston describes them:
It uses high-performance silicon and can stretch up to 200 per cent.
The Biostamp can monitor temperature, hydration and strain, among other medical statistics.
The first prototypes were stuck on using an plaster-style patches.
More recent prototypes are applied directly to the skin using a rubber stamp.
It can then be covered with spray-on bandage to make it more durable and waterproof enough to wash.
The MC10 Biostamp is said to last up to two weeks before it starts to come loose.
Motorola claims that the circuits, which also contain antennae and built-in sensors, could be adapted to work with mobile phones and tablets.
The mobile devices could then be used to confirm the owner's identity and log them in to accounts automatically.
This would prevent thieves and other people from being able to access a phone, or individual apps on the device, if it is stolen or lost.
Perhaps even more concerning, however, is the technology mentioned during the course of the keynote speech at the Wall Street Journal conference. Here, head of Motorola, Dennis Woodside, along with Senior Vice President for Technology and Products, Regina Dugan, discussed both the concept and finished product known as the Proteus Digital Health pill.

New U.N. Chemical Weapons Report on Syria Blames Assad

After having some time to regroup, Western-backed propaganda against the Assad government of Syria regarding the alleged (and erroneous) claims of the use of chemical weapons against rebels death squads and civilians has apparently resumed.

As Reuters reports, “United Nations human rights investigators said on Tuesday they had “reasonable grounds” to believe that limited amounts of chemical weapons had been used by government forces in Syria.”

Reuters also states that “In their latest report, based on interviews with victims, medical staff and other witnesses, they said they had received allegations that both Syrian government forces and rebels had used the banned weapons, but that at least four instances related to their use by state forces.”

Paulo Pinheiro, chair of the UN Commission of Inquiry, told a news conference in Geneva, Switzerland “There are reasonable grounds to believe that limited quantities of toxic chemicals weapons were used. It has not been possible, on the evidence available, to determine the precise chemical agents used, their delivery systems or the perpetrator.”

Pinheiro stated that the information he was reporting came from interviews conducted with “victims, refugees who fled some areas, and medical staff.” The interview process, as Reuters reports, involved teams “composed of more than 20 investigators, conducted 430 interviews from January 15 to May 15 among refugees in neighboring countries and by Skype with people still in Syria.”

The UN Commission of Inquiry largely contradicts earlier reports by its own UN investigators into the nature of chemical weapons’ use in Syria.

Pesticide Content in Food Less Regulated by Codex Than Vitamins and Minerals

In the past, I have written numerous articles dealing with Codex Alimentarius and its guidelines regarding vitamin and mineral food supplements, food irradiation, and genetically modified (GM) food. I have also written about the unfolding agenda to implement Codex standards on a global scale to the detriment of all those who value clean, healthy food and the ability to make their own choices regarding what they do or do not eat.

In keeping with the theme of these previous reports, it is important to note the official Codex position on pesticide content in food and, specifically, the content of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs).

Indeed, for those who are familiar with the aforementioned Codex standards, it may not come as a surprise that dangerous pesticides and persistent organic pollutants (POPs) largely escape the application of rigorous standards that vitamins and minerals receive.

While it may be common knowledge to many, there are just as many who are unaware of the extent to which pesticide residues exist in the average unit of food. The fact is that virtually any and all pesticides used in food production eventually end up in the food itself, even in the animals that consume that food as feed. Logically, these pesticides end up in the systems of those that consume these plants and animals.

Even at this stage of scientific capabilities, the full extent to which these pesticides are damaging to humans is not fully known, at least at the level of the general public. However, for many of these chemicals there is clear research linking them to adverse health effects, while for others the status is less clear, largely due to lack of compiled data.

At the very least, it is safe to say that these pesticides are not healthy and are potentially hazardous to human health. Yet, due to the large amount of pesticides in existence, the detailed testing of all these individual substances has never been conducted. The scientific research that does exist, however, is clear that pesticides do cause adverse effects in humans.

Syrian Rebel Eats Soldier's Heart: Paid For By The U.S. Taxpayer

In a shocking video that has recently emerged out of Syria, Syrian “rebel” leader Abu Sakkar is seen cutting out the heart of a Syrian soldier and then biting it for the camera to see. Shortly before biting the man’s heart, Sakkar states to the camera “I swear to God we will eat your hearts and your livers.”

The video can be seen here and it comes fresh on the heels of a pledge by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to provide $123 million in aid to the Syrian death squads and £40 million by the UK, all in the midst of a worldwide economic depression and the imposition of brutal austerity measures in both countries.

However, while the footage is clearly shocking, it is only shocking in its savagery as an act in and of itself, not in the fact that Syrian “rebels” (aka death squads) are engaging in such brutal acts. Let us not forget that the death squads have been responsible for unspeakable atrocities against innocent people ever since the destabilization effort began.

Last October, the death squads, in typical terrorist fashion, conducted at least four suicide bombings in Aleppo that killed around 40 innocent civilians.

Receiving more attention in the media, however, at least until the death squads were found to be responsible, was the infamous Houla Massacre of 2011 where approximately 90 people were killed.

Numerous other atrocities have also been documented with videos showing the death squads machine gunning captives, beheading prisoners (see here and here), and forcing young children to behead them. I, myself, have written an article dealing with reports regarding the death squad’s hanging of a young child after murdering his family in front of him. One can also view the videos of the death squad members beating and humiliating the famous elderly “Yellow Man” in Aleppo.

Amid Economic Collapse, South Carolina Approves Another $1M for Police State

Brandon Turbeville

May 14, 2013

A little over a week ago, on May 7, 2013 and in the midst of a worldwide economic depression, Columbia, South Carolina City Council members met to discuss the funding of a million dollar project even as the State government continued its regularly scheduled hysteria over budgets, spending, and deficits.

So what was the project so vital to the people of Columbia to be pushed through by a 4-2 vote of the council during the midst of such trying economic times? Was it regarding the road systems? Was it the dismal state of Columbia schools? Was it tax relief for residents? Was it economic development? Water? Power? Sewage? Waste disposal?
Anthony Freda Art

Actually, it was the purchase and installation of 800 new surveillance cameras all across the city of Columbia that prompted the Council to spend $1.22 million, much of which is scheduled to come from an “emergency reserve fund” that is actually part of next year’s budget. As The State reports, “That previous $1 million fund will be reduced to $250,000. A capital projects fund that was to be $1.7 million next year will be down by $200,000.”

Once again, Columbia City Council members have come to the decision that maintaining and expanding the police state should always be paramount to any concerns facing elected officials at any time. In other words - Surveillance at all costs! Survival is secondary.

Even as the city’s meal taxes will be used to fund the camera installation to the tune of $100,000, budget cuts will also take place regarding the amount of money spent to house inmates in the Richland County Jail. This simply means that, if you are arrested (which will likely happen in the New United Police States of America) for one of the innumerable mundane and victimless activities that can result in temporary (or indefinite) imprisonment, the conditions in which you are held are likely to be even more abominable than they currently are.

State Department Conducts Secret Visit with Death Squad Leader in Syria

Chaos promoter Robert Ford's "secret" meeting with death squad leader points to eliminating Assad and increasing atrocities.

As the Syrian army continues to gain the upper hand against the NATO-backed death squads made up of mercenaries, fanatics, and al-Qaeda terrorists, it appears that the Western powers responsible for the creation of the armed and violent rebellion have kicked into high gear as the advance of their proxy army has been stalled.

Even though the barbarism of death squad participants seems to have recently hit a fever pitch, while Israeli air strikes on sovereign Syrian soil are targeting military and civilian targets alike, and newfound erroneous claims by Western nations of the use of chemical weapons by the Assad government, the Syrian army has managed to continue its mop up of the inappropriately named “rebels.”

Yet the Western agitators have not given up. This much is made clear by the recent “secret” visit by former U.S. Ambassador to Syria and notorious destabilization agent Robert Ford made to the current death squad leader, Gen. Salim Idriss.

This visit took place Wednesday, May 9, 2013 and was likely initiated via the Bab al-Salama crossing on the Turkey/Syria border. According to Deborah Thomas of NPR, “Ford met with the head of the Aleppo military council, Abdul Jabbar Okaidi, who thanked him for the shipment of nonlethal aid. Seven trucks transported some 65,000 MREs, or meals ready to eat, the U.S. military's battlefield rations.”

Although no mention is made of the actual lethal aid that has been provided to the death squads by the generosity of the American taxpayer via Gulf State feudal monarchies such as Saudi Arabia, Thomas points out that the MREs were part of “an additional $10 million aid package” dedicated to the death squads by the U.S. government. Secretary of State John Kerry announced in April that the United States would be donating $123 million to the Syrian death squads, despite facing a worldwide economic depression, drastic levels of unemployment at home, and a manufactured crisis such as the “sequester” and a host of other domestic crises.

Boston Bombing Suspects' Foundation Connections - Another Strand in the Web of Global Terror

May 7, 2013

With recent news regarding the Boston Bombing suspects and their alleged ties to Chechen terrorism and, hence, al-Qaeda, a sub-debate has emerged among those individuals who remain glued to mainstream media outlets such as FOX News or CNN. This unfortunate red herring revolves around the question of whether or not Chechen terrorists are, in fact, linked to al-Qaeda.

Yet, the links between Chechen terrorists and their al-Qaeda counterparts are relatively well documented, even as far as the mainstream media accounts are capable of producing. Thus, the question for the general public should not revolve around potential links between the two terrorist factions, but around the more important issue of who al-Qaeda actually is.

After all, if al-Qaeda functions as an umbrella organization for Islamic fundamentalist terrorists the world over, it is important to seek the true head of the overarching network, not merely the outlying tentacles that manifest themselves in various different locations across the globe. For that reason, it is first important to point out that Chechen “rebels,” much like their “rebel” cousins in Syria, are, in fact, receiving training, weapons, and financial support via the very networks that so vociferously claim to oppose them – the United States and British governments.

Indeed, in order to see the direct connection between the U.S. government and Chechen terrorism, one need only look toward the leader of the “Chechen rebels,” the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Chechen Republic - Ichkeria, Ilyas Akhmadov, who resides internationally by bouncing back and forth between the United States and Britain all on the tab of the U.S. State Department since as far back as 2004.
Typically being more willing to report on the treachery of the United States than the American press, the Russian news agency KMNews was quite willing to pick up on the American bankrolling of foreign terrorists. The agency wrote,
In early August, . . . Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Chechen Republic-Ichkeria, Ilyas Akhmadov received political asylum in the USA. And for his ‘outstanding services,’ Akhmadov received a Reagan-Fascell grant,” including a monthly stipend, medical insurance, and well-equipped office with all necessary support services, including the possibility of meetings with political circles and leading US media . . .”[1]
