California’s War On Off-Grid Independent Homes – Residents Made Homeless By Rogue Govt

California has been at it again, proving to everyone in the country that the state most loudly proclaiming to be the leader against CO2, the disproven boogeyman of “Climate Change,” is really not interested in the environment at all, but the element of control Climate Change policies provide. There really isn’t any other explanation for what is happening in the Antelope Valley where local government has been taking individuals who live off the grid in the middle of nowhere off of their land by force of law.

In a video shot by Reason TV, several stories are told by the residents of Antelope Valley, most of them living in unique style homes built by their own hands, others living off the electric and water grids doing nothing but living their lives and minding their own business. Many of these residents have received a knock on their doors only to find armed men with guns drawn over municipal and county codes.

That’s right, a virtual armed raid over codes that most people, if viewed objectively, would find onerous and ridiculous to begin with. Nevertheless, residents have found themselves charged with numerous misdemeanors, excessive fines, extortion, and jail over “code enforcement” that is allegedly designed to “protect the public.” These people are then forced off their land in an area that has admitted “homeless problem.”

The issue in Antelope Valley is not new. In fact, it goes all the way back to 2011 whenMars Melincoff wrote an article about the situation for LA Weekly entitled, “LA County’s Private Property War,” where she wrote,

Is The SB277 Vaccine Law Causing LA Schools' Numbers To Drop?

Attendance in the Los Angeles Unified School District is dropping by relatively dramatic numbers and some are suggesting the reason is the SB 277 law recently passed in California removing exemptions to vaccines for all school children.

School Districts are, as one might suspect, more worried about how this reduction affects the bottom line.

As Mike Szymanski of LA School Report writes,

LA Unified’s enrollment is dropping even faster than the district projected. 

There are 12,604 fewer students than last year, a 2.51 percent decline, last month’s official head count showed. The district had anticipated only a 2.1 percent drop. 

The difference means there will be $17 million less in the 2018-19 budget, and an additional $18 million less in the 2019-20 budget, according to a superintendent’s reportto be presented to the school board Tuesday. 

School districts receive their funding from the state based on average daily attendance, which is determined each year on norm day. That day, which was Sept. 15 this year, is when school populations are finalized for the year and teacher class sizes are adjusted.

Movement To Remove Buried Lead Cables Growing In California

A new movement is taking off in California seeking to reduce lead poisoning and lead pollution of both people and the environment by lead products formerly used by the communications industry.

The problems with lead in human health have been known for quite some time and have produced a variety of movements aiming to remove lead from toys, paint, and other commonly used products.

But one potential hazard that has largely gone unnoticed are lead cables used underground or placed underground for communications purposes. Early on, before lead was recognized as a danger to human health, it was widely used by a number of industries including the auto industry, telecommunications, and others.

Most of these industries experienced chronic lead poisoning of the individuals actually engaging in physical labor leading these industries to either increase their safety standards, reduce exposure, or eliminate the use of lead altogether.

These facts have many Californians concerned that lead cables buried underground are possibly leaking into soil and water systems and are going to pose, if not are already posing, a serious health threat to plants, animals and humans.

Many of the cables currently underground are either currently being used by telecom companies, or they have been abandoned. Possibly the most concerning are the cables that could be running under rivers and other water sources creating the possibility that lead is slowly leaking into those water systems, the environment and up the food chain.

Hinton Is A Fighter On Important Issues

With Napa County’s Board of Supervisor’s election drawing near, Napa County residents would do well to examine not only the stated positions of the various candidates, notably in District 2, but their track record as well. On both of these points, there is clearly one candidate that stands out among the rest - James Hinton.

Amidst the debate surrounding the position of Board Supervisor for District 2, Hinton is the only candidate who has consistently spoken out about the dangers of genetically modified food and the necessity of labeling GMOs at both the state and county level. Hinton has never been afraid to raise the issue publicly at debates, forums, and campaign events.

Just as important, Hinton has been a tireless fighter for clean food long before he was a candidate in the race for County Board of Supervisors. Hinton has been raising the issue of GMOs in prior political action for years and he has done so out of his own commitment and belief that all people should have access to healthy food. His track record is one that is clear in regards to this issue. Thus, one can easily see that Hinton’s position is longstanding and was not made for political points.

Hinton has also taken a stand on the controversial S.B. 277 “vaccine bill” in California, another issue that is most certainly not one that politicians are clamoring to comment on. On S.B.277, Hinton could have remained silent and pushed on, but he chose to take a public stand on principle and oppose the bill.

Likewise, Hinton has advocated for the adoption of an organic, local school food program in Napa County schools similar to the “Conscious Kitchen” approach of the Sausalito Marin City School District.

CA County Board Candidate Slams GMOs And Opponents In Debate

No one can accuse James Hinton of being unclear on his stance regarding GMOs and GMO legislation. The Napa County Board of Supervisors, District 2 candidate has staunchly opposed GMOs since day one of his candidacy and has even made the issue a major part of his platform.

Hinton was also not afraid to raise the issue during the County Board of Supervisors debate held in April 2015. Indeed, in a world of corporate politics, it is rare to even hear the GMO issue being brought up, much less seeing GMOs so passionately opposed. But this is exactly what Hinton did as he took aim both at GMOs and Supervisor Luce when he stated this,

Supervisor Luce denied the will of the public. We were 15 and 0 in support of this letter and he said, we must remove the words “and state” and submit this. He would only support federal labeling which we all know is never going to happen which 535 people there aren’t going to agree on this – they’re so far away from it. There’s a 120 in the State of California Legislature that are much closer to doing this and we would have been much better to go with the state support. But the fact that he denied 15 and 0 unanimous support…

Hinton then transitioned to a personal story. He stated,

And I was told in 2013 I might have pancreatic cancer – I was 300 pounds suffering from psoriatic arthritis extremely bad and I made a switch from pharmaceutical drugs to organic medicine. And to an organic diet. Everything I ate was labeled – I knew what I was eating. They were all organic, non-GMOs. And I no longer have signs of cancer – I have benefitted so much off knowing what I’m eating and selecting organic food every time so I am in full support of this and I will fight everyday for state and federal leadership to fight against the GMOs that are making us all sick.

CA County Board Of Supervisors Candidate Goes After Monsanto, SB277

A new political candidate is shaking things up in Napa Valley, California. Recently the scene of one of the most fascist healthcare laws ever passed, California is now a ground zero for forced vaccination. Yet James Hinton who is running for Napa Valley County Board of Supervisors, District 2, is doing his best to turn things around.

In addition to his fight to raise the minimum wage in Napa County, end glyphosate pollution, and repeal Napa’s medical marijuana ban, Hinton is also attempting to convince the Napa Valley Unified School District to adopt a resolution urging the legislature to extend the personal beliefs exception deadline to July 1st, 2016, a plan modeled after the Orange County Department of Education’s earlier decision. Hinton is also urging the Napa Valley Unified School District to follow in the footsteps of the Sausalito Marin City School District and adopt a program similar to the “conscious kitchen” that provides Marin city students with clean, organic local food on a daily basis.

According to Steve van Zant, the Marin District Superintendent,

The results speak for themselves. Since launching the pilot at Bayside/MLK Academy in 2013, students are eating real food for breakfast and lunch, discipline cases have dropped dramatically, attendance has improved, food waste is down, and students and teachers sharing of meals has led to improved manners and open communication, greatly enhancing the school community.

The Marin Independent Journal writes that,

Meals are accompanied by a garden and nutrition curriculum at the schools that teach students about where their food comes from, how it’s grown and why it’s good for them.

Effort To Recall Vaccine Senator Pan Underway In California

Even though the effort to repeal S.B. 277 in California has officially failed, possibly due to what many suggest may have been a concerted act at sabotage, another “repeal” effort is taking place in the golden state. This time, however, it is not a bill that is the target, but a senator.

California Senator Pan, one of the main sponsors of S.B. 277, is now facing a recall effort begun at the grassroots level by a number of California citizens who find his corporate pandering, political corruption, and violation of parental rights to no longer be tolerable.

The website, RecallPan.com, as well as the movement, is made up of a number of diverse individuals and groups that oppose Pan for very diverse reasons, all united for the purpose of seeing the corporate Senator removed from the position that he has so blatantly abused.

RecallPan writes,

The Recall Pan Campaign is grassroots and non partisan, and is comprised of Californians from all walks of life. It is a diverse group, that spans many different political affiliations, religions, and professions. This diverse group came together to remove Senator Richard Pan, as we feel he is no longer qualified to represent this District, or the State of California. 

Rising Political Candidate Takes Firm Stance Against GMOs

After years of leading the charge against genetically modified food, California now has its own anti-GMO/pro-organic political candidate. James Hinton, an Independent running for California’s US House District 5, has come out strong against the proliferation of GM food in the US food supply as well as in the environment. Hinton has also taken a strong stand in favor of GMO labeling.

Hinton has received an impressive amount of support already, despite running against an opponent who is a career politician with a sizable campaign purse. Hinton has amassed endorsements from a variety of organizations from the NRA to the Tax Wall Street Party but, even more important, he has received the endorsement of California voters.

Hinton has already survived the California primary and received enough votes to be the only candidate facing Democrat Mike Thompson in the general election. There have been a number of anti-GMO candidates in the past – in California and elsewhere – but Hinton’s campaign appears to be the most promising.

While Hinton would prefer to see a world free of GMOs, he is also aware of the practical limitations to that goal in the current political climate. It is for this reason that Hinton has stated his full support behind labeling efforts.

Hinton supports labeling on the grounds that consumers have a right to know what is in their food and how that food is produced.
