After U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions made his outrageous statement that marijuana is “only slightly less awful” than heroin, Willie Nelson is now responding with some advice for the clueless attorney general.
“I wonder if he’s tried both of them. I don’t think you can really make a statement like that unless you’ve tried them all. So I’d like to suggest to Jeff to try it and then let me know later if he thinks he’s still telling the truth,” Nelson told Rolling Stone.
Now 84, Willie Nelson has long been an advocate for marijuana and marijuana freedom. Today, he even has his own brand of pot, Willie’s Reserve, for sale in places where it is legal.
When Rolling Stone asked Willie if there is a downside to smoking marijuana he responded, “I haven’t run into any yet. I guess if you go somewhere it’s illegal, that’s a pretty good downside.”

Jeff Sessions’ statements were such a frightening reminder of the dark ages in which people actually believed marijuana was addictive and dangerous – so much so, that even some state governments began rushing to pass legislation to prevent a federal government move to ramp up the drug war.
Willie Nelson is 84 and proves that age is not a barrier to new information, while Jeff Sessions, who is much younger than Nelson, proves that age does not prevent one from being a relic.
